Lasting Memories Challenge #28

Good day all

What a wonderful Sunday it is.  The sun is shining and another challenge has been posted over at Lasting Memories.  I look forward to Sunday's and my scrapbooking adventures.  Today's challenge is "You're the Boss", so that means I can do whatever I want and here it is:

As most of you know I grew up in Germany.  My mom's family lives there and my dad's family here in the States.  When I was born we had this picture taken of my great grandma, grandma, my mon and myself.  This last summer I went to visit my mom for a week and did some sorting of things.  She gave me a bunch of pictures and this is the layout I created of 4 Generations.  Both my great grandma and grandma have since past away, but the memories I have of them are the only things I have left of them besides this picture.  We recently took a picture of my mom, my daughter, my grand daughter and myself and plan to scrap that one soon as well.  The title is cut with my cricut with the Storybook cart.  First I outlined it with my cricut markers and then cut it out.  I embossed the tags with my cuddlebug.  I loved the picture but with all the different colors I couldn't get anything to coordinate so I scanned the photo and printed it in black and white and then "hid" the picture within the page under a journal flap so I did still have the original.  I hope you enjoyed my Sunday's challenge and look forward to your comments.

As always, have a great day and god bless

  1. I LOVE this layout, Brenda! I ESPECIALLY like the way you hid a picture behind your journaling and how you used a B&W and color version of the same picture. Thanks for playing along with us at Lasting Memories!

  5. That is a great layout and a wonderful memory. I can't wait to see what you do with the recent 4 generation photo. They would look cool side by side. I love that you outlined the title with the markers before you cut it. I have never used my markers. I will have to check out some videos on how to use them. Very creative to hide the original photo behind the journaling. Great style. So happy to see you joining us each week at Lasting Memories.
