Anything But a Card Challenge #49 - Armour etching book mark

Good morning friends,

welcome to another challenge at Anything But a Card #49 Open Theme.  Today I am showing you the simplest of ideas.  I used to do a lot of mosaic work and have accumulated plenty of these glass tiles.  I may use them again sometime for mosaic work, but I have plenty and could use a couple for this project.  I decided I wanted to make myself a bookmark.  I also wanted to personalize it!  So let's get started:

I took some regular stickers from my stash with my initials and placed them onto my glass tiles.

Using my Armour Etch I applied it all over the entire tile.

Let it set up for about 5  minutes and wipe it off.  See the difference of the etched tile vs the original?  Then just peel the stickers off the tiles.  I did make all 3 of my letters, but only needed the Bs.  

Then I used some No-Sew fabric glue and glued the edges of some ribbon after I measured it against a book and leaving a couple inches longer.

I used some E6000 to glue my tiles to the ribbon and let it set up for 24 hours just to make sure.

And here is my ribbon bookmark.

Good morning,

as you are reading this I am probably somewhere in Northern Minnesota getting ready to launch a canoe (or I am already on the water) with everything I need for 5 days...tent, sleeping bag, toiletries, clothes and enough side dishes to last with all the fish we will hopefully catch.  Otherwise I am going to be one hungry camper....hahahaha

I pre-posted a couple of things for this week and here is my first addition:

No fries for me for on this camping trip, but the file came with the hot dog I had showed you from a previous Simply Sunday challenge post.  You can get the file here from CuttinUpDesigns.  The stamp is from Getting Cricky's "Food for Thought" and is such a great "encouragement" sentiment.  I made this super easy and quick bookmark for my son as he will be starting middle school shortly after we get home from our "back to nature" family vacation.  He loves to read and I thought this would be a great daily reminder to "Fry your best".

Festive Fridays 6-24

Good morning and welcome to another edition of Festive Fridays. If you are new to us, sit back, grab a cup of coffee, relax and enjoy some wonderful Christmas Cards. Yes, I did say Christmas...Festive Fridays will be every other Friday with samples of Christmas cards for the entire year. This way, you can be making your cards all year long and you will avoid the mad rush when you could be enjoying the Christmas Season. You should have just come from Debbie. Today I made a gift within a card so to say.  You all know how much I love my cricut and I do love my SCAL program just a little bit more, hehehe.  The possibilities are just endless when you can create your own files, etc.  I had purchased a year subscription over at Scrapping Table and just love, love, love her files.  I used a simple "gift" cut 2 times for the base of my card to create a pocket.  I then cut just the "bow" out again in a different color and adhered it ontop of the front piece and added a ribbon around the bow.  I also added a sentiment "Season's greetings" and a cute little tag found in my christmas box stash and some green rhinestones.

Then I took that same gift and created 4 little gifts and welded them onto a rectangle shape.  I cut this out of cream cardstock (all scraps) and created a bookmark.  Then I cut these 4 little gifts again in various christmas paper, added a few ribbons, bows, bling and pearls and layered them onto the bookmark.  

I plan on purchasing a book for one of my friends and thought this would be a cute way for her to keep her place when she is reading it.  Isn't that cute?
