Keychain with Amazing Casting Products

Good day

I was gifted this lovely key chain a couple days ago and while I absolutely love it it's a bit heavy to put on my keyring.  You do know that too many things on your key ring is not good for your ignition right?  When your keys are heavy it weighs down on the ignition.  I really wanted to use this key chain, but don't want to wreck my ignition, so of course what do I do?  Yup Amazing Casting Products to the rescue because the resin piece will be super light weight!

First I mixed up equal parts of the Amazing Mold Putty and you can view mixing instructions HERE

After my mold was set which took less than 10 minutes

I mixed up equal parts of the Amazing Casting Resin with some 

Silver Alumilite Metalic Powder and you can view 

the preparations for mixing HERE.

That set up within 10 minutes also.

I did run a little bit of Rub n Buff over the resin and

added some rhinestones. 

I love how this turned out and now I can proudly hang my 

car keys on it and not worry about wrecking my ignition.

Steampunk addiction?

Good day friends...

As you all know I am one of the designers over at ABAC and love it.  One of the reasons I so love designing over there is our fearless leader, Susan, challenges me!  This month is Steampunktember and if you read my blog you will know I am NOT a Steampunker.  This month was the very first time I tried anything Steampunk and with that being said, I created some more things because I am so in love with this new genre for me!

My first piece was supposed to be a necklace, but it got too big so I decided I would turn it into a Christmas ornament.  Of course I used my Amazing Crafting Products, some beads, flock, inks, rub n buff and ribbon.

My second piece is definitely a necklace.  Again using the same products I mentioned above with a slight variation adding a rhinestone.

Fill the Void

 

Good Morning to you.  I here today to show you what I've been doing over at Amazing Crafting Products.  I hardly ever know what I am going to make until I make it. Oh, I definitely think about future projects, but I hardly ever think them out. I like to just go with it most of the time. Even when I do run it through my head, it hardly ever turns out the way I imagined it; therefore I love to experiment. Sometimes it fails, but most of the time I have success. Remember, there is nothing wrong with experimenting and failure isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes new and fun things come about using my "failures".

So here we go... I wondered how I could create a hole

within a molded piece and came up with this idea.

I rolled out a bit of the Amazing Mold Putty about 1/4" thick and using those metal cookie cutters, I cut out the shapes. You do not have to use the metal kind, but those were the smallest ones I had. I needed them to be small enough to fit into my domino molds I made here and here.

I then just placed my "heart shape" into my domino mold and poured my Amazing Casting Resin into the mold tinted with the Alumilite Black Dye. Do not over pour and cover your "heart shape" though. 

After it cured for about 10 minutes I de-molded it and used my X-acto knife to clean up the edges a bit and now you have a perfect hole in the shape of a heart. 

I wanted to add something to the bottom of the domino piece and thought about darts.

I Love Darts!!

Or a music note... You Make my Heart Sing! 

Or maybe a key... You Hold the Key to my Heart! 

I opted for the latter and added a bit of Rub 'n Buff® – this is the finished piece.
