Get Creative Challenge #29 Holiday Theme with Sami Stamps

Good morning crafties.

Today I am showing you a quick card I made using a digi stamp from SamiStamps for the Get Creative #29 challenge.  I fell in love with this little guy as soon as I saw him.  I have a special person in mind for this card.

I recently purchased some copics and I'm getting used to them.  I still don't blend very well, but I think he turned out pretty cute.  I also got some washi tape and I tried pulling it all together with that.  I'm not sure I like the transparency of it though.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Make sure you head on over to the Get Creative Challenges Blog and see all the cute cards everyone made.

Until next time, thanks for coming!

Get Creative Challenge #21 When Pigs Fly

Good Morning and Happy Monday to you!

It's another beautiful day and I am here to share my newest card for the Get Creative Design Challenge.

This is the image I chose from QKR Stampede

and this is what I made

I love the simplicity of the card yet it looks pretty cute!  I puffed the "balloon" with a little bit of cottonball and then glued it down. I think I might be getting the hang of this "digi" card making, LOL

Make sure you check out the Get Creative Challenge blog and join in the fun over there.

Thanks for looking and as always, have a great day and God Bless!

Get Creative Challange #19 "Fishing in the dark"

Hi all,

I am so sorry if you came last Monday to view my card for the Get Creative Challenge blog.  I was on vacation and forgot my charger to my computer and then when I got home I forgot all about blogging my card.  I FAILED!  My car was up on the challenge blog though so I hope you had a chance to view it.

This is the image I chose for this month's challenge from Cute as a Button.

Our theme was you had to add stars.  I immediately knew
I wanted my card to represent "Fishing in the Dark"
and this is how it turned out:

I hope you will head over to the challenge blog HERE and join in the fun!  There are prizes to be given away also, just make sure you are following the theme "Stars" for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again real soon.

As always, have a great day and God Bless!

Get Creative Challenge #17 with Eureka Stamps

Good morning crafty peeps!  Today is another post for the Get Creative Challenge design team.  I've been having a real fun time participating in this design team challenge.  This month's theme was Father's Day or For the Boys.  I got real excited when I saw this image that I chose:

Yup, it's an elephant, yeah me!

I printed the image a couple of time and then I started by coloring the elephant with a gray crayon.  You don't have to be precise with this method.  Then I put some baby oil on a q-tip and went over the top of the crayon.  It smooths and blends the crayon nicely.

Cool, huh?

I have had this elephant paper in my stash for a long time and finally pulled it out to use for this card.  I ran it through my polka dot cuddlebug for some nice texture.

Then I fussy cut my elephant out and pop dotted him.

I also ran my black ink pad over the raised paper before applying the elephant.

I cut some gray paper in sort of a cloud shape and stamped It's Your Big Day from my
Getting Cricky collection when I was on her design team.
I then attached a string to the elephant's trunk leading to the "balloon" and some rhinestones.

I loved how this turned out and created another version using the same techniques but added 3 baby elephants to the card.  Only this time I added a hand printed caption.

I hope I've inspired you to head over to Get Creative Challenge and create a fun Father's day card or something For the Boys.

As always, have a great day and God Bless!

Get Creative Challenge #15 with Limited Runs

Welcome to the 3rd Monday of the Month and another digi creation for Get Creative Challenge blog.  I'm going to be very honest and tell you I'm not so good at this digi challenge, but I'm trying.  I love trying new things and joining this challenge blog was more for me to have a reason to use up my STASH of STUFF!  I thought I would force myself to use what I have and NOT buy anything.  So far so good!

Here is my image from Limited Runs.  I chose this image because I knew I wanted to make hubby's 4th of July Birthday invitations with it.
This month's challenge is to use 1 fiber, 1 sticker and 1 printed paper.

I wasn't thrilled with how it turned out.  I really didn't get the coloring right at all but I will still use this image again to make his invitations.

So ...

I created this card also.  I like this so much better.  My coloring is still not good at all, but I am really happy with how this came together.

Make sure to head on over to Get Creative Challenge blog and join in the fun.  You must use 1 fiber, 1 printed paper and 1 sticker to be eligible for the challenge.  Can't wait to see what you create.

As always, have a great day and God Bless.

Get Creative Challenge #13, Lacy Sunshine Steampunk

It's the 3rd Monday of the month and time for me to show off another card I made for the Get Creative Challenge blog.  I've had so much fun so far being on the design team.

Here is the image I chose for this month's challenge which is using Pink, Purple and Green in your project.  Two of my favorite colors, yeah ME!!!

 And here is my card:

I colored her with various inks, chalks and markers.  (I'm still new to using digi stamps and hope to get some cool markers to play with).  What would you recommend I purchase?  Oh yeah, I also gave her a pink stripe in her hair because if I could, I would!
Of course I also used my Amazing Casting Products to mold my gears and added a bit of bling to them and also colored them with alcohol inks.

Here is a closeup.  I also used the Sizzex folder to create the background that I embossed with my cuddlebug on metal tape and then colored with alcohol inks in pink, purple and green.  I love this technique.  Then I pop dotted Mona Steampunk Ethereal Enchantress to the card base so that she became the focal of the card.  I did not add a sentiment this time because this card could mean anything to anybody.
I love the grunge look of this card.

I hope you've enjoyed my card and please hop over to Get Creative Challenge blog and join us!  Remember though, you must use the colors Pink, Purple and Green on your project.

As always, have a great day and God Bless.

Get Creative Challenge #11, Oddball Art Miss You Card

Good morning friends,

I'm so excited to announce that I am the newest member over at Get Creative Challenges.  Now this is completing outside of my comfort zone but I am thrilled to step outside of it!  I accepted to be a SUB on the challenge team about a month ago and was ready to show my first card two weeks ago, but fate held up it's hand and said, "wait just a moment"!  A couple days later Angie told us that someone had to step down and would any of the subs be interested in becoming a full designer?  I dove right in, so here we go!  The reason this is outside of my comfort zone is that I have never done digi stamps before.  I've always been a regular stamper when I was making cards.  I have a boatload of stamps but hardly ever use them.  Maybe I should sell them, NAH!  Anyway, let's get to the challenge.

This is the image I chose from Oddball Art

Digi Stamp Digital Instant Download Big Eye Bedtime Pajamas Girl Image No. 11 by Lizzy Love
and you can find her HERE.

She is so cute but to me she looked sad and lonely and from that I created a "Miss You" card.  I know that's not what she stands for, but that was the inspiration I went with.
Also for this challenge you MUST use a die cut of some sort.

I used up papers, a velum quote and ribbons from my stash (again, trying to use up my hoarding supplies).
I added some flowers that I cut with my Cricut and SCAL2 as my diecut to match the paper I went with.

I colored her using various pencils, chalks and even some pastel crayons.
I think for my first card I did ok!

I also popdotted her to make her more of the focal of my card.
As always, I have to use bling so I added some
rhinestones to the flowers and the edge of the card.
I am very pleased with the outcome and hope you come over and join us at Get Creative Challenges.
Just link up with us and we will choose 3 winners!
