Bella's 1st Birthday - Lasting Memory Challenge

Good evening all,

So here I am again one more time for today...maybe. LOL I've been having so much fun in my "room" today. Wow, 2 cards (only 1 posted because the other one is for Festive Fridays here this coming friday), 4 little matchbooks and now a scrapbook page layout. When I have a day like this, I should schedule my postings instead of posting all on one day...nah. Ok, so here we go:

This weeks challenge over at Lasting Memories is reduce, re-use and recycle your scraps or something you have laying around that you could incorporate onto your layout! So, I took this challenge a bit too literal. Let me explain...

We celebrated my granddaughter, Bella's first birthday in January (her birthday is December 31st). I made cupcakes and cupcake wrappers. I also made a banner with her name on it and a frog for her cake. Actually, you can see the post banner and pictures. So when this challenge came up and it said reduce, reuse and recycle...(I stopped reading through) your scraps or something you have laying around that you could incorporate onto your layout I came up with this idea. LOL

I reduced the banner I made originally, and I reused - recycled the frog pick and cupcake wrapper on the layout itself. So technically I did follow the rules of the challenge by reducing my stash also. I had all these paper scraps leftover from the projects that I had made. I am now officially out of the beautiful green silver glittery paper. I hope you enjoy my layout and would love any comments you might want to leave.

As always, have a great day and god bless.

  1. Cute! I think it's a great idea to use what you really used, if that makes any sense :) The banner is adorable!
