Whoooo Loves You?

Today was another fun-filled day at work.  NOT.  The only good thing about working and being bored is that I can bloghop as much as possible on my Droid.  I get a lot of crafting ideas at work.  He, He.  If only I had the gypsy, then I could at least create while I was working.  Oh well, maybe Santa is reading my blog.  Well, anyway, I was blog hopping again as usual and also visiting my most favorite blogs when I saw my name as a winner from a comments page. I always leave comments, whether there is a prize involved or not.  I think feedback, good or bad, is needed.  If I create something someone likes, I like to hear that.  If they don't like it, maybe I can improve on it.  Here I go rambling again.  Back to my original thought...I found my name on kandrew's site.  She is so good to me and I have learned so much from her blog.  She had made this adorable owl sign using banana paper.  Well, I don't know what banana paper is but it looks cool.  I've asked at a couple of scrapbooking places here in town and they don't carry it, but I know I live at the end of the world and it takes forever for us to get the newest supplies in.  Once we get it, it's already old to others.  Anyway, on this site is where I got the foam core board idea for yesterday's creations.  Kristal is so talented.  Again, rambling on.  So I see my name as a winner on her site and I won her paper piecing of the owl.  Of course I had to email her right away to get the file and she was so quick to send it.  Now I just had to wait till I could get off work and go home and make a card.  Boy is it ever cute and soooo easy to recreate.  I embossed his body with the d'vine swirls cuttlebug folder and his feathers too.  Then I used walnut metallic rub ons for his feathers and rosewood rub ons for his beak.  I love these...they are creamy and well, I just love them.  I had some silver sparkly paper scraps and used that for his glasses.  I then pop dotted him to the green striped background paper.  By the way, this project was entirely pieced together with my scraps.  Woot, woot.  I love using up my scraps.  I printed the sentiments Whoooo Loves You? because I don't have a stamp to that affect and I hate stamping individual letters to spell out something.  I know the background is somewhat boring, but I wanted the focus to be totally on him.  (By the way, Kristal's owl was a she).  I think he's pretty cool.  Tell me what you think.

As always, have a great day and god bless.
