Pink Ladies Dart Pin for Sakura

***Revised***
Good morning and welcome to my first post for Sakura.  I'm so excited to be here and share the wonderful products that Sakura has.  I have been using these mixers for a bit over a year now and I have to say they are the best paints ever.  Visit Sakura Hobby Craft for your 3D Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul's Mixers at http://www.sakuracraft.com/. USE THE COUPON CODE TO GET YOUR TERRI SPROUL MIXERS TODAY!  The Coupon code to get 20% off is "SHIMMER03".  Hurry and get yours today.

Now I want to show you what beautiful color you get.  I am very passionate about a lot of things, but the one thing that is near and dear to my heart right now is a dart league that I am playing in to support cancer.  It's an all women's league.  All the money that we raise goes to fighting cancer.  We are doing fund raisers, auctions and even side pledges.  I decided to make myself a pin recognizing this league.  *** I forgot to mention that we are "sticking it to cancer", hence the darts sticking in the dartboard and ribbon

I started with some paperclay and used a ribbon cookie cutter to cut it out.
I sanded the edges with an emery board and got into all those tiny areas.
Then I painted it with the Shimmer Pink Sapphire and 3d crystal lacquer.  This is the most beautiful paint ever.  Also when using the 3d crystal lacquer you get a nice seal over the top of your project.
Then I molded 3 darts using an existing dart earring I had
I painted each dart gold
Of course I own a dart board stamp and stamped
that image onto some white cardstock.
Then I adhered the darts and the dartboard onto the ribbon again
using 3d crystal lacquer because it bonds very well
and then I also layered some more 3d crystal lacquer
over the top of the dartboard and it gives it a glass like look.
Really honestly, the pictures do it no justice.
I wish I had a better way of showing you how beautiful this pin turned out.
I put a pin back onto my ribbon and it hangs proudly on my dart case.  I have made and sold a couple of these already.  If you are at all interested in one, leave me a comment or email me at burffrau @ gmail . com and add (PINK LADIES) in the subject line.  I can make any color ribbon you would like as I cancer has many colors.  The pins are $8 and $5 of that will be donated to the charity that we choose at the end of the season.

I want to thank you for coming over and checking out my first post for Sakura.  I'll be showcasing Sakura products all month long.  Don't forget to head over to Sakura for a 20% off of the shimmers.  They are exquisite...
