Good afternoon all,
If I get 50 followers by midnight tonight, Dec. 31st, I will do a drawing on January 4th for some blog candy. If you refer someone, have them tell me in the comment section and you will get an entry also.
Blog candy will include a cuddlebug folder for sure, but I will add something for every 10 extra followers by midnight.
Tell me your New Years resolution and that will give you a second entry.
Good luck and Happy New Year.
As always, have a great day and god bless.

Party Hat
Hi all
Second post of the day? Wow, I am on a roll. LOL
I wanted to quick share the party hat I made for Bella. All I did was took a piece of paper 6 by 11 and formed it into a party hat. You know the ones you can buy for a birthday party. I adhered both sides together with my ATG fun and formed the party hat. Kristal over at Kandrewdesigns had made a crown a while back for the Knock out Breast Cancer. She gave the file for free and I snagged it up. Thanks again Kristal. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, but now I am glad I grabbed it. I altered it a little bit by making it smaller top to bottom and then I adhered it to the party hat. I used the same letters that I had used for the cupcake wrappers and adhered them to the crown. I then punched two holes on either side of the party hat and added some elastic. I can't wait to see it on her. I didn't go too overboard on embellishing it or adding too much detail because, if I know my granddaughter she won't leave it on for long anyway. She doesn't like anything on her head.

Cupcake Wrappers
Good day all,
I made another video. Yeah me. LOL Now if I just knew how to edit and splice and all that fun stuff all you pros know how to do. I don't have alot of time to create my videos, but I will learn slowly. If anyone out there has any good tutorials and can tell me what editing programs you like I'd very much appreciate it.
On to my project...Bella, my granddaughter is turning 1 on December 31st. What a great birthday, huh? I want to make her first birthday very special, so I am making cupcake wrappers. Our theme for her birthday is Princess and Frogs. Frogs you might ask? Well, all of my kids had a special theme as they were growing up and you always received something of that theme for each birthday, christmas or special occassion. My daughter picked tree frogs for Bella. I know you might think that's kinda weird, but really there are a lot of frogs that are super duper cute. I am really loving it. Anyway, this post has nothing to do with frogs. Hehehe.
I used SCAL and a plain cupcake wrapper to dress up her cupcakes. I welded Bella's name onto the cupcake wrapper and then I used my new Cri-Kits (green glitter pen) that I won over at Joy's Life to write Princess on the wrapper. I used the font Fiolix Girls with my SCAL. This is probably one of my favorite fonts. The pens really work great. Then I cut Bella's name out in the DCWV All Dressed Up Glitter Stack in green and adhered them to her name. SO stinking cute, if I do say so myself. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my video and please leave a comment to help me better myself with my video making. I appreciate all comments and take them very seriously. If you can give me and hints or tips please do so.

My First Video and Tummy Talk Wordbook
Hello friends,
For Christmas I received a Flip camera and I can now make videos. This is my first attempt and I hope you enjoy my first video.
Today I want to share a Word Book I created for my daughter. When she announced she was going to have a baby, I wanted to create something for her so she could remember the 9 months leading up to Motherhood. In SCAL I created the wordbook. It was my first attempt and I am pretty proud of the way it turned out. If you would like the SCAL file for the wordbook (TUMMYTALK), please leave your email addy in the comments section like so buffrau @ aol dot com and I will send you the file as soon as possible.

Treat Bags
Hello fellow bloggers,
I wanted to make something special for my son's class this year for their Winter Party. I love making treat bags so here is my version.
I bought treat bags with snowflakes at the Dollar Tree. Have I mentioned that's my favorite store? Anyway, I also bought pencils, erasers and suckers there. You can get a lot of stuff for $10.
I made pencil toppers for the pencils. Instructions are as follows. I cut circles in SCAL with slits in them. Then I cut just plain cirlces. I also cut snowflakes and made the snowflakes (shadow blackout rounded). I cut the background in blue, the snowflakes out of white glitter stack and the circles in red. These are so easy to make. I also glued a little bit of bling in the center. I put the circle with the slits on the pencils and ran my ATG tape over the other circle. I then adhered them together and viola. A cute pencil topper.
I made bookmarks for each of the kids also. I cut their names in SCAL out of vinyl and adhered them to red and blue cardstock. Blue for the boys and red for the girls. I wanted to laminate them and started to. I RAN OUT OF LAMINATE after 6 bookmarks and had 21 to go. Ugh. LIGHTBULB...I used clear contact paper and "wrapped them". My daughter helped with this...maybe she has some crafting abilities yet. Honestly, you can't tell which ones were laminated and which ones we used the contact paper on. Awesome and so cheap. I then hole punched the bookmarks and added some ribbon to them. Again, red for girls and blue for boys. They turned out so cute. Here is a picture of everything that went into the treat bags.

and another
I really don't like the way the staples show up so I think I might add some snowflakes over the top of them.
Now here is the coolest thing also. See that stamped greeting? Well, I won that over at Courts Crafts. I have never used any of the Pink Stamper stampsets. WOW, I love them. This is the Winter Punnies collection. Go check them out at My Pink Stamper. They are so clean and detailed. I have a new love.
Anyway, thanks for looking and if you would like some of these pencils with toppers I have 6 left over. I will give them away to anyone who becomes a FOLLOWER and leaves a comment.
As always, have a great day and god bless.
Ornament Winner
Good day all,
I am so sorry for not posting this on Sunday like I said I would, but I had a dart tournament this past weekend and didn't even think about blogging. I am really sorry. Then yesterday I worked and had dart league night. So here I am today ready to announce the winner.
I don't do alot of giveaways and I don't really find the need for Random.org yet, so I had my daughter draw the winning number. She didn't even realize what she was doing this for and it's kinda ironic which number she chose. She chose #5....

Pocket calendar
Good day all,
I've really enjoyed making presents this year. I have a few coworkers that have really helped me out this year and I wanted to give them each something for their individual personalities. One of my coworkers is a "float" which means she takes over when someone needs a vacation day or is sick. She sometimes comes in early for me if I have something personal to take care of. She used to carry this huge calendar with her because she is never in one location and needs to keep track of where is she will be on a certain day. I made her her own pocket sized calendar. SHE LOVED IT. I just bought a cheap daily planner at the Dollar Tree. It was black and so I just cut a piece of vinyl to fit for the front and then I cut her name in SCAL out of black vinly. I cut two red hearts and two black hearts and attached them to a paper clip. SO cute and simple. Now she can just move her paperclip to the pertaining week and she will never be lost again. LOL

Advent Calendar and Tray
Hi guys,
I have a bit of computer time today, so I am trying to get as many postings up today as possible. LOL Might be a little overwhelming.
I was over at Joy's Life the other day for the advent hop and she had made this cute tray with gingerbread men. Anyway, I took a little spin off of it and made this. Let me know what you think. The gingerbread men were cut from SCAL and are all magnetic and the little oven mit was also cut from SCAL and it is also a magnet, so it can be moved to each day. I used puffy paint to decorate the gingerbread men and I cut each day out in green and red vinyl and adhered them. I glue dotted the mints around the cookie pan and tied a simple bow as a hanger. I used my crop a dial to punch the hole in the tin and it worked real well. I gave this to one of my best friends. She really seemed to like it.
I then kinda took another spin off and made this for a fellow coworker. She likes apples and her entire kitchen is decorated with them. So I bought this tray at the local Family Dollar store and cut these cute apples from A Child's Year. First I cut them in red with the letters cut out and then I cut them in green and glued them together. The red is glitter paper and it gives it such a cool effect.

1st Christmas Ornament and giveaway
Hello fellow bloggers and crafters,
I just cant seem to find any time to blog. I am crafting almost daily, but I just don't get much computer time. I've been busy making a lot of holiday gifts and such, but most of it has already been given away and some things I forgot to take pictures of...I am sooooo bad. I also haven't updated my 30 days of me. Ugh.
I did want to share this ornament I made for my granddaughter. This will be her first Christmas as she was born on New Year's Eve last year. I found these block looking ornaments at a discount store last year. They came in a set of 6. There was only 1 package left so I snagged them up. I haven't seen any of this kind since. Anyway, I thought they were so darn cute. I used the glitter effect using the wax and glitter. I made a bunch of them last year and again this year for my husband's staff, (just the plain round ones). They all were excited about getting new ones with this year's date on them.
I will be giving one ornament away to a fellow FOLLOWER. If you have a new grandchild or know of someone who you would like to give this to, leave me a comment, follow me and tell me about your favorite ornament. I will pick one winner on Sunday, December 12th. I have a choice of pink or blue. I can either put the child's name on it or just "baby's" First Christmas 2010. That is totally up to you.

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you bloggers,
I didn't think I was going to blog today, but here I am....
I normally do not decorate for Thanksgiving and really I am not today either, but I did make something this year. I was channel surfing the other day at work (yes I have a very boring job). I ran across a Martha Stewart Thanksgiving show and stopped on it for awhile. She was making coloring books for the children that would be coming to Thanksgiving dinner to keep them occupied. I was intriqued. Our youngest child this year is my granddaughter, Bella, and she is only 11 months old, so she won't be coloring. LOL My youngest son in 10 and I suppose he is still coloring age, but I didn't think he'd want to. So I decided to make it into a "I am grateful for..." booklet.
I found a clipart of a turkey silhouette on the web and imported into my SCAL. I cut it out two times in black and four times in white. I glued one white page to each black page creating the cover. Then I glued one white page halfway to the "cover" two times and then glueing the back "cover" half way to the rest, creating a little booklet. I then scored it so it will be able to open and close nicely. I have a lot of alphabet stickers and I just stuck them to the front and back of the booklet. I could have made it prettier but this is what it is. I know in my mind this makes sense...I hope it does to you. Now when we sit down to eat Thanksgiving dinner I will have everyone write something they are grateful for in the booklet and when I get my pictures from dinner developed I will make a scrapbook page and use my Turkey booklet as the focal point.
Here are a few pictures of it.

Oh My...Rambling and Blog Award
Hello all my blogger friends...
I feel so bad that I haven't posted in almost a month. It's not that I haven't been creative, it's just that time is not my friend anymore. I have been really busy with work and by the time I get home at night after 10 hours, I have no desire to do anything but put my feet up and veg out. I have been creating though. I made a bunch of stuff for a craft fair I had 2 weeks ago. It went pretty good, sold things that I didn't really think would go and the stuff I made especially for the show didn't. Weird economy...I have about 68 ornaments left over. I guess all my family and friends are getting ornaments again this year. Ha, ha, ha I promise I will post some photos this coming weekend. I've changed shifts slightly at work and now I have Sundays off...yeah.
On to another subject...As most of you know my daughter and her family live in Colorado...ok, let me rephrase that...THEY HAVE MOVED TO SOUTH DAKOTA. LOL Sorry, I am just so excited that they moved back. Now I get to see my granddaughter grow up in real life and not via webcam or photos. She is sooooo cute. They have been here for almost two weeks now and it's been awesome. So that's what's been keeping me from posting too. I just haven't had much "me" time. My DD got a job already and Bella is attending daycare. She seems to be adjusting well. My SIL will be moving here in the middle of December and we will all be able to enjoy Bella's first Christmas and birthday together.
OK, one more thing to post: Tonight I received a posting from my bestie blogger friend, Kristal over at Kandrewdesigns She gave me an award. Boy do I feel special right now.
2). Share 8 things about myself
3). Pay it forward to 8 bloggers that I have recently discovered
4). Contact those bloggers and tell them about their awards
Well, I am wholeheartedly thanking Kristal. She has been such an inspiration to me. I have learned so much from her and hope to meet her one day soon. Florida is too far from me and California will be just as far, but one never knows when fate will step in. Thank you so very, very much Kristal!!!
My eight things...hmmmm
1. I was born in Wiesbaden, Germany and lived there until I was 16. I miss my family and the culture, but America has become my home.
2. I have been married for almost 16 years to my best friend. It's indescribable how I feel about him. He has been my rock when I was swimming in quick sand, wow, that sounds like he is drowning me. what i mean is he has been very supportive. it was late when i wrote this and when i reread it today i realized how bad that sounded..
3. I have 3 beautiful children whom I love and adore very much.
4. I have 2 gorgeous grandchildren. Bella will be 1 on December 31st and Draven is
3 1/2. He will be moving to Hawaii in December with his mom and stepdad, but he will come here during the summer months
5. I love crafting in many different mediums. I have worked and continue to work with jewelry making, mosaics, cross-stitch, scrapbooking, and cardmaking. I am sure there are other things I've done, but I could go on forever.
6. I am a crime book buff. I love to read James Patterson and John Grisham. They are for sure my favorite authors.
7. I definitely believe you should do onto others as you would want them to do to you because Karma will bite you in the butt. LOL I hope you see the humor in that last part.
8. I love Reality TV. How sad is that? But I am addicted to both Survivor and The Amazing Race. I have recently started watching Undercover Boss and I think I would love my boss to do my job sometime. bwwwwwwwaaaaaaaa
Ok, so now I have to pick 8 blogs to pass this award onto. That's the toughest part of accepting this award. It's just because I love so many of you and also I am afraid that I will pass this onto someone who already has received it. But I guess that's okay, because Kristal got this award 4 times. WOOT WOOT You go girl!!!
Okay, I hope you all didn't get bored with all my rambling, but that's what happens when you finally get some computer time and have a desire to ramble. LOL
oo

Creating the Hive
HI ALL
I just wanted to let you in on a little secret. I was featured on the main page of the Hive. Haven't heard of it? Well click the link and go to my favorite Art and Craft Networking Site.
I Love TheHIVE
I've been a member since August and the support there is overwhelming. There are so many crafters and ideas. The vast amount of creativity is incredible and the owners are unbelievably helpful. You can go and get so many ideas and information. It's not all about crafts, but since that's my passion I usually tend to look at those groups more. You've got groups for swaps, giveaways, storage ideas, and the list goes on. Please take a minute to check out the link and join, cuz you know you will want to. If you choose to join please use the link http://creatingthehive.com/signup/burffrau and I will be credited a new member referral. I'd really appreciate it.

Fabulous Friday Fall
Hi all
I imported the leaves and acorns into my scal by using the trace image feature from some clipart on the web. I am getting better at this LOL. I then cut the leaves out in the orangie paper and drew the innerds with my cricut marker, love how I can do this too.
I embossed the top half of the acorn using my cuttlebug and polka dot folder.
I am so thrilled to tell you this project will be featured on Scrappily Ever After. She had made a call out last week and chose me among others. Thank you so much Holly. I hope I don't disappoint you.
For this project you will need a Cricut, SCAL (if you want my cut file leave me a comment with your email addy and I will send it as soon as I can), brown cricut marker, 1 12x12 orangie paper (I used bazzill), 1 12x12 brown paper, 1 12 x12 dark brown paper, 1 6 x 6 light brown paper, a stick (I used one from a tree we had cut down), some raffia, cuttlebug, polka dot cuttlebug folder, glimmer mist (I make my own), acetate, alcohol inks (I used cranberry, silver and lettuce) and an applicator, and a hot glue gun.
I gave them a shot of glimmer mist, just to give it a little sparkle.
I then cut the leaves again in a brown paper to outline them a bit. The acorns I cut out using dark and light brown paper.
I then cut out the letters in FALL out of acetate. Actually what I used is the packaging plastic. You know the stuff you can't get into when you purchase something LOL It cuts great on my cricut though. I do use the depth of 6, pressure max and multicut it. I suppose I could use my deep cut blade. I use painters tape to tape it to my mat so that it doesn't slide around.
After I cut them out I alcohol inked them with cranberry, a little bit of silver and lettuce. I ran out of the felt pads, but you know what, I made it work with cosmetic pads. LOL I use them to take my makeup off at night and now I have another purpose for them.
I tied some raffia to both sides of the stick to create a hanger. I then tied some more raffia to the leaves and tied that to the stick.
I also hot glued the acorns to the stick and somewhat to the leaves for some added support.
I attached the letters to the each leaf with my atg gun.

I know some of the pictures didn't turn out so well, but in all I think this turned out very cute. If you would like the cut file, please leave a comment with your email addy and I will send it as soon as I can.
Remember if you would like the cut file it is in svg. Leave a comment with your email addy like this burffrau @ aol dot com and I will get it to you as soon as I can.
As always, have a great day and god bless.

Fall
Good afternoon
I made a quick and easy project using a glass block, small christmas lights, some ribbon, vinyl and some leaves. I cut the word FALL in SCAL using Baroque Script at 3 inches. I had picked up some fall leaf bushes at the Dollar Tree and I had this nice green ribbon already.
I wish I could take better pictures. This really does look beautiful in real life, but this is what you get. LOL
As always, have a great day and god bless.
Batman
Good day all -
Just wanted to post a quicky. I am going to be spending all day in my craft room today. I've have to get so many things done. My world is kinda crazy right now. Starspaperpassion had a 100 follower giveaway last weekend. I just love the cute cards she makes. Anyway, I commented on her blog and guess what...I won. This cart will be so cute for projects for both my son and grandson. I can't wait to play with it. Anyway, see what happens when you leave comments...?
I will try to be back this afternoon with some more posts. Oh and by the way, I will be a guest designer this friday somewhere. Stay tuned to see where I am going.

Vinyl and Pumpkins
Good day all -
I just wanted to quick show you the pumpkins I made for the Casino. I just cut out some characters in vinyl with my cricut. All of them in SCAL. I added a few rhinestones on the big pumpkin for bling. This was such a quick and easy project. I hope you enjoy.

Breast Cancer Awareness Koozies
It's me again,
I just wanted to post a quick picture of some koozies I made. Since October is Breast Canser Awareness month I thought I'd contribute and this is what I came up with. I had purchased these koozies at Joanne's and initially I was going to vinyl them. Unfortunately they are made of foam and the vinyl won't stick to them. I was at a loss until I remembered my I-Rock.
In SCAL I made a ribbon and put circles where I wanted to add my imaginsces. I then cut it out with some scrap vinyl and placed it on the koozie. The vinyl will stick to the koozie, just not permanently. I then used the pattern to place my imaginsces and off to the races I went. This didn't take long at all and I think they turned out pretty cool.

The Witch is In
Hi all -
I know it's been awhile since I've posted something new. It's not that I haven't been busy, that's for sure. A couple of weeks ago, it was my birthday. My daughter, who lives in Colorado, and her husband and my granddaughter came to surprise me for my birthday. That was the best birthday present a mom could have. They spent 4 days with us and as a second birthday present, they announced they will be moving back. Her husband got a job transfer here. Isn't that just great? Now I won't be a part-part-time grandma anymore. My daughter and granddaughter will be coming mid November, just in time for Thanksgiving and my son-in-law will arrive mid December. I can't wait. Here is a picture of Miss Bella in our front yard.
I have also been working on alot of projects for one of the casino's I work for. I don't know if I will be able to post those pictures. I have to check with my boss first. If I can, I will do so in the next few days. I can tell you I made some really cute pumpkin decals. You know the little pumpkins? I just used black vinyl and cut out a flying witch, a tree and some bats. They turned out really cute. I also make their advertisements each month and had to make 20 table top tents. That was a work out. LOL
So onto my project. As you know a couple of weeks ago I had made a sign for my girlfriend's kitchen. I had shown some of my customers what I had made. We have a sign in one of my casinos that reads: The Witch is IN/OUT. She asked me if I could duplicate that sign. Well of course I can...LOL So here is the sign I made.
I used the foam core and covered it with black bazzil. I cut the witch hat out of purple card stock from Kandrew's "A Mice Halloween" and adhered a black and orange ribbon. I then used my Tombo Mono Liquid Glue and traced around the rim of the hat and added a bit here and there. I then glittered that. The spider I cut out of black vinyl. Pretty cute huh? I cut the letters in SCAL using Matisse ITC font in orange and black vinyl. I cut 2 pieces of chipboard,
glued them together and covered that with purple cardstock.
I also glittered the tag. I also colored the rhinestones purple
and orange with the Bic Markit permanent markers. I just
love making my own embellishments to fit the project. I
attached the tag with a "screw" brad and added purple, black
and orange ribbon as the hanger. So, please leave me a
comment and tell me what you think.
I do have another project coming up and I will be a quest designer for another blog next week. I will give you more details as the time comes closer.
As always, have a great day and god bless.
